B. add 3 for text mode





       GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""





       GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="3"






C. Uncomment this line





      #GRUB_TERMINAL=console





      GRUB_TERMINAL=console













Step 2 :





Update grub entry


 update-grub





Step 3:


reboot
